ESS Sucess Stories
COMMUNITY SEPTIC SYSTEM, LAKE COUNTY
Summer of 2005. A 23 unit mobile home park began having troubles with their septic system. When the neighbors began complaining of odors, the Health Department got involved. ESS was called to excavate the site. We discovered that the 6,000 gallon system was installed in the 70's and it lacked substantial leach field requirements. The undersized leach field was diagnosed with having Bio-mat build up. $80,000 was our bid for a replacement system, a new leachfield, and to get the park up to code, but as an alternative and for a fraction of the cost, we first offered a Knight Treatment Unit. We installed the Knight Unit in September of 2006 and to the surprise of the Health Department the system quickly began to function regularly. Today, the septic system is performing great, there have been no complaints of odors or violations and most importantly, 23 families were not displaced and we saved the owners and residents a substantial cost.
SEA RANCH RENTAL, SONOMA COUNTY
In the spring of 2006, ESS was called to a vacation/rental home at the exclusive community of Sea Ranch. The home sits about 100 feet from the ocean bluff and because it was one of the most popular rental units in Sea Ranch, it's septic system received high volumes of visitors. The system had been having problems and the owners had to call the Sea Ranch office for help every few months for about four years. With the owners facing having to replace their failing system at an aproximate cost of $30,000, ESS offered to install a Knight Treatment Unit at a fraction of the cost and promised to credit the cost of the Knight unit toward any repair work if it did not work. The Knight installation worked great and a year later the Sea Ranch office reports that they have not had a single call back from the owners about their septic system!
SEA RANCH FAMILY HOME, SONOMA COUNTY
In January of 2007, ESS was called to another home at Sea Ranch. We discovered that the home and septic system were built on marginal soils and after about 11 years of use the leach field began to clog with Bio-mat. To the horror of the home owner, septic effluent began surfacing in his family's yard. ESS pumped his tank, installed a Knight Treatment Unit and within mere weeks the effluent that was ponding on the surface had receded several feet. Today, the septic system is performing flawlessly and the effluent level in his leach field remains deep in the ground where it belongs.
- "The Sea Ranch office discovered that my leach field was beginning to fail. Three of the seven leach lines were flooded with effluent and one line had effluent bubbling out of the ground. ESS proposed to add a Knight Treatment Unit. Well, I can say with enthusiasm that your methods have worked. Thank you very much for your service. Without you I would have been contemplating expenditures in excess of $35,000. I recommend your company and your products to anyone in need of your services."
- Mr. Michael A. home owner.
